Hello, I’m Sanskar Kale from Mumbai, India, a cosplayer and design student at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay with a passion for bringing iconic characters to life. For this competition, I am portraying Death from the Darksiders II universe, a character that holds deep personal meaning for me because Darksiders was the first PlayStation game I ever played.

This cosplay includes handcrafted armor, dual scythes, a large signature scythe, wings, and a custom-built muscle suit. The muscle suit was the most challenging part of the project, as it needed to work smoothly with the armor while still allowing comfort, movement, and Death’s powerful presence to come through. For this updated version, I created a larger scythe, added a wing, and included LED lighting to highlight the transformation from Death’s armored form to his final reaper form. This project helped me improve my skills in fabrication, sculpting, and finishing even further.
