Hello, I’m Akshay Churi, also known as ‘the red comet’. I’m a Mumbai-based production manager working at a creative agency. I’ve been cosplaying since 2015, and this year, I had the incredible opportunity to portray one of my favorite characters -Doomguy from the game Doom Eternal.
I've always been drawn to powerful, silent characters who let their actions speak louder than words and Doomguy perfectly embodies that. His raw strength, iconic armor, and relentless spirit inspired me to take on one of my most challenging builds yet.
I started planning this project in 2019, and finally got around to making it in 2024. I pushed myself to new heights with this build, experimenting with fresh methods and combining materials like EVA foam , upholstery foam, Wood , PVC , 3D Printing and LED lighting for maximum detail.
The thrill of crafting something this detailed, wearing it on stage, and becoming a legendary character is what keeps me going.
